I have been using Hecox for a number of years for my HVAC needs and I've been happy with their service until... this year. I think their business is getting bigger and busier. Almost two months wait time to get a maintenance service scheduled and the price has gone up significantly - $105 for one unit service and another $35 for coming out. I was supposed to get an estimate for AC replacement which never received. I reached out via email and no response. This year's experience was less than total satisfaction.
If it was possible to give Hecox Home Services, more than 5 stars we would in a heartbeat. It is increasingly difficult nowadays to find folks that are competent in the trades, let alone honest, and just good people. The folks at Hecox are all of the above and pulled us out of a bind when our AC went out. Gayle and his team were responsive, communicative, and took care of us like we were family. We were back in business in short order. Thank you so much!
Hecox is by far the best HVAC contractor we have ever used. It is an excellent family owned business that places high value on their employees. From the initial visit by Martin who prepared the estimate; to the 5-member crew who managed the installation including Zack who was in charge the day of installation to Gayle, the owner of the company who personally installed an additional complicated supply duct from the basement to the 2nd floor bedroom going through two closets, to the office staff, they are all highly professional, knowledgeable, friendly and dependable. We solicited estimates from 4 different companies to replace our aging 26-years old Lennox AC system and to install additional supply duct to our bedroom on the 2nd floor. Hecox’s proposal was comprehensive, giving us 3 easy to understand and clear options and by far they were the most reasonable. The 5-member crew installed our new Lennox Elite system and the new duct in 4 hours. They laid drop cloths upon arrival and then cleaned up after the job was completed. I can’t say enough great things about the team at Hecox! During the selection process I emailed Martin at least 5-6 times and he promptly responded with clear answers. Overall, we had a very good experience and it was a pleasure to work with Hecox.
We've used Hecox for 6 years. In 2025, they replaced both of our condenser fan motors in our 2 AC units. In July 2026, they told us one is broken again and needs to be replaced. These typically last 10+ years before needing replacement! And, since we are about 2 months past the "warranty period" they want to charge us full price AGAIN to pay for the work they just did last year. This is either poor work, faulty parts or both. Super disappointed and do not recommend.
July 4, 2026 weekend brought record-breaking, sweltering heat but did not stop Gayle and Manny to come by on short notice and an unscheduled service call to troubleshoot and fix my heat pump failure. Hecox is old school, honest and customer service focused. Checkbook recommended and I can agree 100%!
