I cannot comment on the quality of eye care at this clinic because I did not end up being seen. My concern is with the way patients’ time is handled. It took nearly a month to get an appointment. When I arrived for my scheduled visit, I was told that I might have to wait up to 1.5 hours before the visit even started. Since the visit itself could also take around 1.5 hours, this would have meant spending up to 3 hours at the clinic for a routine annual eye exam. When I asked why such a long delay was expected beyond my appointment time, I was simply told that this was their procedure. I understand that medical offices can run behind, but patients’ time should also be respected. I decided to cancel my appointment and go elsewhere. Unfortunately, this experience gave me the impression that patient scheduling and communication are not handled with much respect for patients’ time. If your time is important to you, I would suggest considering another eye clinic.
My children and I have been visiting Visionary Eye Doctors since 2014 and we come back every year for our eye exams. Lorena Rivero and Babak Hosseini are both wonderful—very professional, kind, and thorough. We always have a great experience. Highly recommend!
The doctors are great. The reception area is chaos. You’ll not get seen at your scheduled time. This practice specializes in people with eye issues. Things I saw today. Assistants come in the waiting room asking for patients by name. No one can hear them over the noise. Giving a blind person a form to fill in 😂. Giving a low vision person forms to fill in that’s hardly legible by normal people. Patients skew older. Assistants skew very young. Results are entirely predictable.
This practice has experienced and knowledgeable doctors. (Drs, Sarezky and Martinez) took care of my mom who is blind due to advanced glaucoma which also makes her susceptible to eye infections. They saved her life twice after other doctors/practices couldn't. The staff is courteous and welcoming. The only negative is the wait times, paid parking and long walking distance to the office. But when you or your loved one is in pain, this isn't a problem at all. Thanks Visionary Eye Doctors for your expertise in vision care. You are simply the best!!!
